Fall Fashion: High and Low

Green is the color of the season. I’ve seen it just about everywhere, and that is a really nice change from all of the dull colors lately. I’m tired of the blues and blacks. It’s time to throw a wrench into our wardrobes and give fall something to be excited about!

I was flipping through my latest issue of GQ and stumbled across an outfit that I know I would wear. It’s simple, but has a green leather jacket that is a statement piece. I like that this can go from business casual, to dinner, and even to a night out on the town. The shoes may be a stretch for work, but for a casual Friday who is going to complain?

After searching through some of my favorite online stores to find the outfit, it came out to be $2,949.95 before tax. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have that kind of money. I started on the quest of finding something similar to it, that still looked just as stylish, for a whole lot less.┬áSearching through stores like Zara, H&M, and Topman to locate the perfect copy cat. The grand total? A whopping $251.89. I can definitely afford that, and the pieces will be very versatile in multiple outfits.

So, this brings me to the most important question, what are you going to do with your extra $2,698.06?

  1. The grand total is more like $551.89 for anyone who wants the jacket as well. Which I think makes quite a difference; especially when you consider the outfit doesn’t say much without it. Also the green shoes just aren’t speaking to me on the high or low level.
